Reasons For Frozen Bananas

banana peanut butter milkshake

I have heard of so many situations where bananas need to be frozen, and so many uses for these frozen bananas, but I have yet to hear of a reason convincing enough to actually make me freeze them.  That is, until I decided I needed a banana shake.  From now on, for every batch of bananas that I buy, at least 2 of them will be going directly into the freezer.  Most likely more will go there, because the roommate always decides that he needs to be eating whatever I am enjoying at the moment.

This shake is so absolutely delicious and pretty darn healthy too!  I never would have believed a milkshake sans ice cream would be worth my time, but I have officially been convinced.  Now it’s time to experiment with chocolate chips and coconut and other yummy things, though I can’t even imagine how this milkshake could taste any better.

I just have to check to see what yummy things are coming from 1001 Spring St. I’ve been making banana shakes for a long time. Everything I put in his good for me, you, him. However, I don’t think I’ve added p.butter, but I will. I have too many frozen bananas. I found that adding frozen cherries is scrumptious. That give a richness that makes me feel I’m drinking a malt. I’ve added them to other fruits and also done them just with the bananas. Really good. Yogurt (esp. Greek, which I’ve started buying now that I can get it) adds another layer of nutrients. Enjoy!
